Welcome to the newly polished website — fresh-off-the-press — for the Carleton chapter of Journalists for Human Rights, or Cjhr!
We have another packed schedule of pure awesomeness in the 2011/12 year — from our HollerDay benefit concert, to writing/photography tutorial workshops, to loads of opportunity to get your stories, photos and multimedia gems published online.
Started in 2004, Cjhr aims to educate the public on human rights issues around the world. This year we’ll be continuing with these goals while keeping an eye on what’s going on in our backyards in Ottawa, so you can use rights media to report on what YOU care about — from homelessness to prostitution, sustainability to racial equality.
